Temporary Truck Traffic Ban on DN39 in Romania
The National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania (UNTRR) informs about the introduction of temporary restrictions on truck traffic on national road DN39 in the Constanța region.
The ban applies to the section between the towns of Agigea and Mangalia and is in effect from July 9, 2025 (2:00 PM) until July 14, 2025 (6:00 AM). The restriction concerns vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) exceeding 7.5 tonnes.
Hauliers transporting goods to or from Bulgaria via the Vama Veche border crossing are advised to use the following detour route:
➡️ DN38 – DJ391 (Mangalia – Albești – Negru Vodă)
The following categories of transport are exempt from the restriction:
▪️ Passenger transport
▪️ Transport of live animals and perishable goods
▪️ Postal and funeral transport
▪️ Emergency and rescue vehicles
▪️ Transport of fuel, water, food, and agricultural products
▪️ Temperature-controlled transport
▪️ Municipal cleaning services and roadside assistance vehicles
▪️ Military transports participating in international exercises
UNTRR urges hauliers to take these restrictions into account when planning routes, in order to avoid delays, fines, and traffic disruptions.
